Meet The Team
Mindy Stalker serves as the Executive Director of UCDA, and is actively involved in a diverse range of projects and events that celebrate the communities within Union County. She is passionate about leadership development and dedicates her time to working with both high school students and business professionals through the county's leadership programs. Professionally, Mindy serves on the Professional Developers of Iowa (PDI) Board, the Heartland Economic Development Board and is an advisor on the Institute for Decision Making (IDM) Advisory Council. Locally, she is a member of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Advisory Council, The Greater Connections Childhood Development Board, The Union County Food Coalition, and The Union County Fair Board. Beyond her formal roles, Mindy is the race director for The Greater 8 and 5K and co-director of Creston, CWC, a women's group focused on the betterment of Creston and Union County.
Lastly, she serves as the chaos coordinator for her two children, CT and Marlee and occasionally her husband, TJ too. Together, they enjoy cheering on the kids in their extracurricular activities and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Mallory is often the first friendly face you’ll see when you walk into the UCDA office! She leads our marketing and communications efforts, sharing the story of Union County through social media, events, and community outreach. A proud Creston native and 2025 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, Mallory is passionate about highlighting the people and businesses that make this community special. This year, she is participating in the Lead UC program and serving on the Union County Young Professionals Planning Committee. She also volunteers as a local 4-H leader.
Outside of work, Mallory is an outdoors person at heart. She enjoys spending time on her family farm here in Union County and being outside whenever she can. If there’s something happening outdoors or in the community, chances are she’s nearby.
